Brief Profile

Dr. Fairouz Tawfik graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. In 2012, she entered the Neuro-Psychiatry residency program at the Neuro-psychiatry department, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. In 2014, she earned her master's degree in Neurology and Psychiatry and served as an assistant lecturer at Ain Shams University (2014-2019) and Armed Forces College of Medicine (2017-2019). Concurrently, she held the position of Co-Chair of the World Psychiatric Association from 2017 to the present.

Having successfully attained her Medical Doctorate degree in Psychiatry from Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt, in 2019, she has since held the position of Lecturer of Psychiatry at Okasha Institute of Psychiatry Ain shams University. Furthermore, she fulfilled the role of Lecturer of Psychiatry at Armed Forces College of Medicine from 2019 to 2020.

Dr. Fairouz also worked as a Psychiatry specialist at Al-Mashfa Hospital, Cairo, Egypt, from 2013 to 2015, at Bedaya Clinic from 2015 to 2019, and as a Consultant at Al-Nozha International Hospital outpatient clinic from 2020 to 2023 and Queens Royal hospital 2022 to 2023 . Additionally, she co-founded and acted as a Consultant at Waves Psychiatric Clinics in Cairo, Egypt, from 2021 to 2023.
