Ahmed AlSayed is a consultant and Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at King Saud University, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He specializes in Sleep Apnea Surgery. He earned his medical degree at King Saud University in 2014 and completed his Residency at Dalhousie University, Canada, from 2016 to 2021, and his fellowship at Stanford University from 2021 to 2023.
Dr. Alsayed is the first comprehensively trained sleep apnea surgeon in Saudi Arabia, holding advanced qualifications and training in soft-tissue, skeletal, and neurostimulation techniques for the treatment of sleep apnea. He received his training at the birthplace of sleep apnea surgery in the United States, Stanford Otolaryngology — Head & Neck Surgery, which is ranked among the top five programs in the United States by U.S. News & World Report.
Dr. AlSayed holds a graduate degree in biomedical engineering and healthcare entrepreneurship from the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of California, San Francisco. He has extensive research experience in otolaryngology, specializing in sleep apnea care, and has authored numerous publications in top-ranked scientific journals. Additionally, he serves as an evaluator for the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, overseeing the classification and specialization of sleep apnea surgery.
