Dr. Ashwaq Al-Shahrani graduated from King Khalid College of Medicine with a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery.

Then she completed her training in adult neurology at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre.

The following year, she moved to King Fahad Medical City in Saudi Arabia where she completed training in epilepsy and electroencephalogram

Following this, she moved to Canada where she completed training in the feild of epilepsy surgery and evaluation patients with intractable epilepsy at Western University hospital. She succeeded in the Canadian fellowship in 2022. Her experience was enriched by the addition of another year of training in Neurocritical Care and Electroencephalography at Western University in 2023.
