Dr. Mohammad Kurdi is a senior consultant in interventional cardiology. He has a special interest and experience in complex coronary interventions and advanced cardiac coronary interventional procedures. He is one of the leading interventional cardiologist and regional experts in the treatment of systemic hypertension by renal artery ablation (denervation) therapy. In addition, and to support he next generation of medical excellence, Dr. Kurdi has a long history of contribution in the fields of medical education and physician and technician training through his professional journey where he started at Prince Sultan Military Hospital (Riyadh) and later in Canada between Dalhousie University and Ottawa University (Ottawa Heart Institute) where he finished his cardiac and interventional cardiology programs. In 2003, Dr. Kurdi joined King Saud University (KSU) Medical School as a teaching staff and was the director of the Cardiac Intervention Laboratory. After 4 years at KSU, he was tasked to be part of the commissioning team for King Fahad Medical City and more specifically King Salman Heart Centre, where he served as chairman of cardiology for 3 years.
Since 2012, Dr. Kurdi has been dedicated to private practice, where he developed the Cardiac centre with multiple private groups and hospitals and has been a major contributor in development of private cardiac services across the Kingdom. Given his long and experienced career, Dr. Kurdi is one of the leaders in cardiac services in the Kingdom, with a distinguished track record of practical experience, education, and implementation at the highest international standards of health care.
He has also played a pivotal role as one of the founders of the Saudi Society for Cardiac Intervention and the Gulf Intervetional Society as a board member and founder. He has been recognized at the regional and international level as one of the key voices in the region, having served as speaker, faculty and board member for the multiple regional societies including main conferences in Asia and Europe.
