Dr. Mohammed A. Alarabi is a consultant of psychiatry and psychotic disorders and an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the College of Medicine, King Saud University. He completed the Saudi Board in Psychiatry in Riyadh and then undertook a clinical fellowship in schizophrenia at the University of Toronto, Canada.  His clinical and academic work focuses on schizophrenia spectrum and related psychotic disorders, including treatment-resistant schizophrenia. He has published in peer-reviewed journals on psychotic disorders and antipsychotics.


Dr. Alarabi’s clinical expertise extends to the assessment and management of the various presentations of severe mental illness, such as psychotic depression, bipolar disorders, and schizophrenia spectrum disorders. He focuses on safe prescribing, and the monitoring and management of treatment-associated motor or metabolic dysfunction, such as weight gain.
