Dr. Salma Saad is a General Surgery Consultant with over 20 years of experience in general surgery and laparoscopic surgery. She offers treatment of a variety of abdominal diseases as well as hernias. Dr. Saad completed her studies at the University of Khartoum and her residency and training at Khartoum Teaching Hospital and Suba University Hospital (1998 – 2002).
Dr. Saad has extensive experience in general colonic, and laparoscopic surgery including operations at an emergency and elective level, such as open right hemicolectomy colectomy, left hemicolectomy colectomy, stoma formation, perianal fistula management, haemorrhoidectomy, and laparoscopic cholecystectomy, open and laparoscopic appendicectomy, open and laparoscopic hernia repair, mastectomy and axillary surgery, thyroidectomy.
Dr. Saad has an interest in education, as she has provided training and education for medical students throughout her career and is a member in hospital committees. Dr. Saad has participated in both local and international conferences presenting topics related to her speciality including her participation in research publications. Dr. Salma Saad has completed her MD in general surgery from the University of Khartoum, has a fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons, England and has a diploma in laparoscopic surgery from the University of Strasbourg, France.
